There are 5 different areas in which to dine; the main dining room is sheltered by huge glass walls where a backdrop of palm trees and the sea create an ideal place in which to contemplate your meal, the large terrace at the foot of the beach is great for al fresco dining, the “Bamboo” zone where large bamboo canes create a more intimate setting, the VIP area and the lounge with its big red sofas where you can eat off trays. The menu is bold and authentic with influences from the Orient and the Mediterranean where both tapas and sushi dishes are on offer as well as some amazing mains such as crackling cake and slow cooked pork with shrimps and soy oil or grilled monkfish with broccoli, avocado and lime. Among the dessert options are delights such as mango cream with coconut foam and poppy seeds. Once the restaurant closes, Shoko becomes an exclusive lounge club with renowned DJ’s mixing up R&B, house and funk. This fashionable eatery has long been a favourite amongst Barcelona’s pretty and affluent crowd and attracts both national and foreign celebrities as well as a chic international set.
