Shanti is the latest Indian restaurant to open its doors to the city of Barcelona

In the centre of the Les Corts district of Barcelona is Shanti, the latest Indian restaurant to open it’s doors to the city. Shanti, meaning peace in the ancient language of sanscript, is a serene and tranquil restaurant, providing diners with a real insight into the culture of Indian cooking. The décor is simple and elegant with various Indian artefacts scattered around. Service is, as always in Indian restaurant, excellent and very attentive without being obtrusive. As for the food, the menu is full of the usual classic dishes but also offers some exciting new flavours to try. Why not start with a Panir Roll (a spring roll filled with paneer cheese, onion and Indian spices) followed by a Hariyali Murga (roast chicken with mint, cardamom, coriander and other special Indian spices) or a Dal Shanti (creamed lentils and red beans). There is a great selection of rices and Indian breads, all homemade to accompany each dish. Shanti brings a tasty slice of India to the Les Corts area of Barcelona.
