Head Chef Remy Lefevre cooks up creative and flavoursome Mediterranean inspired dishes at Barcelona’s new restaurant Artkuisine
Artkuisine is an elegant Mediterranean restaurant in front of Barcelona’s Galvany market. This new addition to Barcelona’s thriving restaurant scene is the perfect place for all types of dining from romantic, intimate meals to business lunches. Artkuisine has been named a “neobistro” by critics because of its suggestive and imaginative menu and its elegant French style décor. Bright modern art covers the walls which are painted in light shades and the sounds of Jazz can be discreetly heard in the background. The entrance has a champagne bar where diners can begin with some oysters or caviar before the actual meal. The menu is all about combination of flavours, monkfish with pepper, fennel and apricot or roast lamb with vegetable couscous and Mediterranean spices. The wine list is extensive and includes over 70 choices. Although only open since 2007, Artkuisine really has placed itself firmly among Barcelona’s finest eateries and for those looking for something special, this place should not be missed.
