Amaltea is a superb vegetarian restaurant in the Eixample district of Barcelona offering a menu full of organic vegetarian delights at very reasonable prices. Attractively decorated in a kind of Indian style, with lots of colonial wood and blues and yellows, this healthy and tasty eatery offers the restaurant goers in Barcelona something g different. There is no fixed menu here, the dishes vary according to the seasons, but there is a daily lunch menu offering 3 courses and a drink for just 10 Euros-incredible. You could be choosing from tofu kebabs, vegetable tarts, pizzas, vegetable empanadas or a delicious salad. The food is creative and full of flavour and each plate is beautifully presented. The restaurant acts as a cafeteria during the day where you can stop by for a tea, infusion or try one of the varied fruit juices on offer.
